Birthday Dress

Our annual mothers group birthday party is next weekend. Since I don't often get the chance to sew for little girls, I picked a girl for the gift exchange. Along with a few other girly goodies, I made a white corduroy dress inspired by a few I've seen online and in some Japanese sewing books. I love the simplicity and fingers crossed am hoping her mother doesn't ring my neck for making a white dress! -kb

Carrot Cake

I am having major baked goods cravings! Homemade bread, cookies, muffins you name it I am craving baked goodies. I've actually made this cake twice in the last 10 days, carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. Maybe this baby will become a chef...either that or a bit on the rolly polly side! -kb
