Remember these? I’ve bought foam cushions and fabric now I’ll I need to do is figure out how to connect the two pieces. Options as I see them:
A. Make either the top or the bottom on both cushions one continuous piece. Concern: They won’t be reversible.
B. Make each piece completely separate with ties on the sides to attach to the chair, possibly velcro instead of ties. Concern: I am not sure how great the ties will look.
C. Make each piece separate but connect with a flap in the center. Concern: not exactly sure how to make this work or if it will even work at all!
What do you think? Has anyone done this before? -kb

blocks

Ages ago, before the morning sickness of #2 kicked in, I started making a set of blocks for Luca. They are scrappy and made out of denim, super cushy and easy to toss and catch. Luca loves them. Problem…out of the blue this morning my ever so lovely husband stated “Luca’s name actually ends in an A”. Ok on the to-do-list this weekend, finish the last block…finally! -kb

it's been a long time...
It's been a LONG time...basically the long and short of it is that this baby and my new job have kept me either very busy or fast asleep! I am back and have made a little goal for myself to post a bit more often. I am also over the crazy tiredness and have figured out the basics of my new job so I am feeling much more creative!A few weeks ago I pulled out my old quilt to put on Luca's cot (his new quilt was in the wash). My mom made this when I was a baby and I remember countless times using it inside and outside and best of all for great fort building. When I look at the quilt now I see napkins, my dad's shirts, a few dresses of mine and my mom's, the only table cloth I ever saw on my grandma's dining room table....It doesn't match, it's not fancy but for me it's full of memories. I've started to collect my own little scraps to make a similar scrappy quilt for Luca and the new bub. One day it might spark a few memories for them. -kb
